A life in a few words:
I was born in Constanta - Romania, raised and educated in an artistic environment (both
of my parents are graphic artists). In 1992 I won my first prize in a drawings contest and
'till this day I gathered some prizes especially in comic book competitions and science
fiction art. I was also four times selected for the National Art Olympics and won two first prizes in sculpture.
In 1997 I discovered Adobe Photoshop and I started to experiment different techniques and I'm still doing so.
In '98 I met the Randombyte guys from Bucharest who wore looking for concept artists for their game: "Hitman" (no relation with the mega hit). After a while I became more and more interested in the game production. I had some experience with some Quake level editors and so I became level designer for Randombyte.
The collaboration ended in 2001 when I was in my second year of the Art University of Cluj-Napoca. After that I moved to the West University in Timisoara and I started working with a group of enthusiastic programmers on the MeDiavolous project. The group became Defensivegames.
MeDiavolous was an ambitious 3d strategy game but was cancelled for another game project I was working on for a few years - Final Strike - so I became game designer, 2d-3d artist and level designer on a single project. The game was canceled in 2003 because of financial problems.
After graduation I moved to Bucharest to work full time at Kentauros studios&production as a concept artist and storyboard artist. First movie was a low budget movie "Caved In" but was a great experience because I had the chance to work on the set and see all the action behind the camera. After that, I worked on some commercials but most of my time was spent on reading and illustrating scripts. One year later I worked on the second movie "Van Wilder2".
At this time I'm working as freelancer.
